Rosine, Ky

Last Friday I had an opportunity to drive out to Rosine, Ky. – the birthplace of Bill Monroe, the “Father of Bluegrass”.

The town is located about a 45 minute drive south of Owensboro, Ky. in Ohio County. Each Friday night musicians converge in the Rosine Barn to play Bluegrass music. I didn’t have a lot of time to spend, I was only there for 40 minutes, but the people at the Bluegrass Jam immediately welcomed me in and answered any questions I had. Here are some pictures:
